CM Models https://cmmodels.com Sun, 26 Apr 2026 10:22:19 +0000 en-US hourly 1 https://wordpress.org/?v=6.8.5 “Azzedine Alaïa’s Dior Collection” exhibition Paris: 101 looks that even Dior no longer has https://cmmodels.com/azzedine-alaias-dior-collection-exhibition-paris-101-looks-that-even-dior-no-longer-has/ Sat, 29 Nov 2025 11:40:17 +0000 https://cmmodels.de/azzedine-alaias-dior-collection-exhibition-paris-101-looks-that-even-dior-no-longer-has/ We just saw an exhibition in Paris that really blew fashion fans away: Azzedine Alaïa meets Christian Dior. Two designers who look completely different – and yet fit together perfectly. Are you in Paris? On vacation, on a short trip or nearby: For anyone in the modeling business, the exhibition is more than just beautiful dresses. For us, one thing is clear: this exhibition is one of the most exciting fashion experiences of the year!

The exhibition: Fashion moments from Dior & Alaïa

The show takes place in the Galerie Dior – an impressive fashion museum in Paris. Instead of a boring timeline, you get rooms that look like small movie sets. Each room shows looks from different eras and explains why they are so special.

What I found most interesting? Here you can see Dior pieces that even the Dior archive no longer has! Alaïa’s collection (more on him later) is breathtaking (20,000 pieces in total).

101 iconic looks

On display are 101 outfits from the history of Dior. Not only from Christian Dior himself, but also from designers such as Yves Saint Laurent, Marc Bohan, Ferré, Galliano and Chiuri. This allows you to see how Dior has changed over the decades – but still remains Dior.

  • 101 looks from different decades
  • From romantic to extremely modern
  • Dresses that are pure couture dreams

Details that you would otherwise never see

What’s particularly exciting is that you not only see the outfits, but also original sketches, fabric samples, old photos and information about each dress – even which model wore it first. This is the closest you can get to fashion history.

  • Sketches by Dior and his team
  • Original fabric samples
  • Information directly from the Dior archive

The exhibition shows that couture is not just beautiful, but real craftsmanship with a lot of history. Click here to go to Azzedine Alaïa’s Dior Collection.

Dior CollectionAddress and prices

Here are the entrance fees and the address of the Dior Collection.

  • Full price: 16 € (27+ years)
  • Reduced price: 12 € (10-26 years)
  • Free admission: 0 € (under 10 years)

In the:

La Galerie Dior
11, rue François-Ier, Paris

Dannasanyla: The largest private fashion collection

The pieces on display come from a collection called Dannasanyla – and it’s huge. It is the largest private couture collection in the world, the Fondation Azzedine AlaiÌa. And that’s not a marketing slogan, it’s a reality.

Thousands of pieces – and 700 Dior outfits

There are over 20,000 fashion pieces in the collection. Yes, really 20,000, including thousands of Dior designs. Around 700 of them no longer even exist in the Dior atelier. Only this collection still has them.

  • Over 20,000 fashion pieces
  • Huge Dior collection
  • Many designs unique worldwide

Alaïa’s passion for fashion history

Azzedine Alaïa has been collecting since the 1960s. He went to auctions and bought everything that was important – often faster than museums. As a result, many couture pieces only exist today because of him.

  • Built up since the 60s
  • Many museum pieces saved by him
  • A collection that preserves fashion history

This gives the exhibition an incredible depth: it not only shows fashion, but also preserved culture.

Azzedine Alaïa: The designer with the power silhouettes

Alaïa was famous for dresses that strongly emphasize the body – tight, elegant, powerful. His looks were made iconic by supermodels like Naomi Campbell. But before he became famous, he actually worked briefly at Dior – for a few days.

From internship to fashion legend

This mini-internship was the beginning. He later became one of the most influential designers in the world. His fashion is just as modern today as it was back then.

  • Strong focus on figure and shape
  • Famous for tight, powerful silhouettes
  • Briefly launched at Dior

This is how he changed fashion:

Alaïa as a collector

In addition to designing, he collected couture like a treasure hunter. When other houses sold their archives, he secured the most important pieces – and saved fashion history in the process.

  • Unique collector’s items
  • Often buys entire collections
  • Today at the Fondation Alaïa

You can feel this passion in every corner of the exhibition.

Christian Dior: The designer who changed fashion

Christian Dior is a household name – but why? Because he invented the famous New Look in 1947: tight waist, round skirt, elegant lines. A style that completely changed the post-war era. A true fashion icon.

New Look: The moment that made Dior immortal

The New Look is shown several times in the exhibition – and you immediately understand why Dior became so iconic. Its silhouettes are romantic, elegant and simply timeless.

  • Narrow waist
  • Wide skirts
  • Ultra-feminine fashion

Dior through the decades

After Dior came designers such as Yves Saint Laurent, Bohan, Ferré, Galliano and Chiuri. Each brought their own look, but at the same time the Dior DNA always remained recognizable.

  • YSL: youthful & bold
  • Galliano: dramatic & artistic
  • Chiuri: modern & feminine

The exhibition shows this development like a visual storybook.

Dior x Jonathan Anderson (previously Loewe): New Creative Director https://cmmodels.com/dior-x-jonathan-anderson-previously-loewe-new-creative-director/ Sat, 28 Jun 2025 14:04:18 +0000 https://cmmodels.de/dior-x-jonathan-anderson-previously-loewe-new-creative-director/ A breath of fresh air at Dior: Jonathan Anderson, known for his work at Loewe, is appointed sole Creative Director in 2025. At his side: Delphine Arnault, who sets a clear strategic direction as CEO. Together, they want to redefine Dior’s style – between couture, streetwear and historical heritage.

Jonathan Anderson: From Loewe to Dior

With his move to Dior, Jonathan Anderson takes over all creative areas for the first time: Women’s, men’s and couture lines. At Loewe, he was already regarded as a visionary with a flair for modern silhouettes and artistic influence. Now he is bringing this talent to one of the world’s most renowned fashion houses. His debut at Paris Fashion Week was celebrated – with baroque details, statement pieces and a self-confident break with classic fashion conventions.

A bold mix on the catwalk

Anderson’s first collection for Dior paid homage to French fashion heritage – paired with sporty influences and architectural precision. Staged at the Hôtel des Invalides, underlined by celebrity guests such as Rihanna, Robert Pattinson and Daniel Craig.

  • Baroque waistcoats meet modern poufs
  • Elegant cuts and street style influences
  • Color palette: cream tones, black, steel grey

Who is Jonathan Anderson? Interview

Who is Jonathan Anderson? Here in an interview with the New York Times.

Delphine Arnault: Focus on strategy & quality

Delphine Arnault – CEO of Dior and daughter of LVMH founder Bernard Arnault – is also leading a clear quality offensive. Her goal: Dior should not only be a creative flagship, but also remain economically strong. This includes new flagship stores, team reorganizations and targeted investments in sustainable supply chains.

Visionary dual leadership

The combination of creative power (Anderson) and strategic vision (Arnault) could become a model for success. While many fashion brands are struggling with falling demand, Dior wants to consciously swim against the trend – with a clear attitude, innovation and international aspirations.

  • CEO & Creative Director on the same line
  • Strengthening the brand image worldwide
  • Focus on couture, accessories and men’s line

Who is Delphine Arnault? Interview

After Jonathan Anderson, here’s everything you need to know about Delphine Arnault:

Luxury fashion 2025: a new Dior era?

With the appointment of Jonathan Anderson and Delphine Arnault’s consistent course, Dior is repositioning itself. The fashion world is looking to Paris with anticipation: will Dior become the most innovative luxury brand of the coming years? One thing is clear: the first step has been taken – bold, modern and with a sense of zeitgeist.

Balenciaga x Pierpaolo Piccioli: New Creative Director succeeds Demna https://cmmodels.com/balenciaga-x-pierpaolo-piccioli-new-creative-director-succeeds-demna/ Sat, 28 Jun 2025 14:04:15 +0000 https://cmmodels.de/balenciaga-x-pierpaolo-piccioli-new-creative-director-succeeds-demna/ Fashion month brings the next big surprise: Balenciaga hires Pierpaolo Piccioli as its new Creative Director. This marks the end of Demna’s era after almost ten years. The official handover is set to take place in July 2025 – with the first designs for the spring/summer 2026 collection. For Balenciaga, this means a radical new beginning with a focus on craftsmanship, emotion and couture heritage.

Demna leaves Balenciaga after turbulent years

Since 2015, Demna (formerly Demna Gvasalia) has shaped the image of Balenciaga: oversized silhouettes, irony, pop culture. But after several controversial campaigns and growing criticism of the provocative strategy, Kering is now pulling the ripcord. The official statement emphasizes “mutual respect” – but industry insiders are talking about a planned change of direction.

A calmer, more emotional course

With Valentino veteran Pierpaolo Piccioli, a designer who stands for romance, poetry and haute couture is taking over. Under his leadership, Valentino has become a celebrated luxury brand with a sense of color, materiality and emotion. Industry media such as Business of Fashion and Vogue speak of a “human era” that could now be dawning at Balenciaga.

  • Away from irony – towards emotion
  • A return to craftsmanship
  • Stronger proximity to the couture heritage of Cristóbal Balenciaga

Pierpaolo Piccioli who?! Closer Look

Who is Pierpaolo Picciolier? Insides from Valentino.

Balenciaga High Summer Campaign

Here is the entire current video fall / winter collection 2025/26.

What will become of the typical Balenciaga style?

The question of style identity remains open. Will Piccioli shake off the streetwear DNA or cleverly develop it further? Kering is clearly focusing on continuity in the brand core, but on new aesthetic accents. One thing is clear: the industry is eagerly awaiting the first show in spring 2026. The strategic connection to other houses in the group – such as Saint Laurent or Gucci – is also being closely monitored.

Balance of tradition and innovation

Piccioli has already shown with Valentino that he can breathe new life into traditional brands. Will he be able to do the same at Balenciaga? The market for luxury fashion is changing – and with it the expectations of creative directors. Between Instagram relevance, storytelling and social responsibility, Balenciaga must redefine its position.

  • First collection: spring/summer 2026
  • Handover in July 2025
  • Design studio: Paris, 10th arrondissement

Great expectations of Pierpaolo Piccioli

The change at Balenciaga could be a turning point for the entire luxury industry. With Kering’sstrategic reorganization and the focus on sustainable, credible brand management, Piccioli is facing one of the most exciting challenges of his career. The fashion world is eagerly awaiting the new era.

Kering’s new Executive Board: Luxury group in transition

Gucci, Balenciaga and Saint Laurent – Major upheaval at Kering: the French luxury group is focusing on a new management team and a focused realignment of its brand strategy in 2025. Also in focus: Gucci, Balenciaga and Saint Laurent. The new CEO Jean-Marc Duplaix announces far-reaching changes.

For young talents who dream of working abroad, her trip is an exciting look behind the scenes. Keywords such as modeling in China, experiences as a model and Gaia Paris Model will help you to find out more.

Gaia from Paris – Three months as a model in China

Our Gaia is back! After three exciting months in China, the Parisian model is back in Europe – and has plenty of experience under her belt. Between fashion weeks, campaign shoots and street style locations, she got to know the Chinese fashion market first-hand. The video below gives you an exclusive insight into her trip.

Behind the Scenes from the Far East

Particularly exciting for up-and-coming models: the mix of high fashion and daily hustle. What can young models expect in China?

China is one of the most exciting markets for New Faces. The demand for European looks is high, many jobs are created at short notice and local agencies rely on flexible bookings. For models, this means many options, but also quick reactions. Gaia had castings every day, often in studios, showrooms or rooftop locations – and plenty of time to network in between. The agencies are professionally organized, but the rhythm is more intense than in Europe.

  • Lots of jobs – but often last minute
  • Building an international network
  • Respect cultural differences

Tips for your first booking abroad

If you’re thinking about going abroad as a model yourself – here are Gaia’s most important learnings: Take the basics seriously. Punctuality, professionalism and openness are crucial. On location, your appearance often counts more with clients than your portfolio. And: Be yourself – authenticity is becoming increasingly important. Whether you’re shooting for e-commerce or high-end editorials – the energy you bring makes all the difference.

  • Coordinate organization with your parent agency
  • Always have backups and references with you
  • Stay patient – trust is everything

Kering’s new Executive Board: Luxury group in transition – Gucci, Balenciaga and Saint Laurent https://cmmodels.com/kerings-new-executive-board-luxury-group-in-transition-gucci-balenciaga-and-saint-laurent/ Wed, 28 May 2025 14:01:02 +0000 https://cmmodels.de/kerings-new-executive-board-luxury-group-in-transition-gucci-balenciaga-and-saint-laurent/ Major upheaval at Kering: the French luxury group is relying on a new management team and a focused realignment of the brand strategy in 2025. Also in focus: Gucci, Balenciaga and Saint Laurent. The new CEO Jean-Marc Duplaix announces far-reaching changes – with a focus on creative quality, profitability and sustainability. By the way, alongside LVMH, Kering is the largest luxury group in the world.

Management change at the top of the Group

Jean-Marc Duplaix, former CFO of Kering, takes the helm and replaces long-time CEO François-Henri Pinault in the operational management. While Pinault will focus on strategic issues within the Pinault family holding Artemis in future, Duplaix represents a phase of consolidation. His mission: to focus the Group with fewer, but clearly positioned brands.

Gucci as a key brand in the restructuring process

Particular attention is being paid to Gucci, which recently lost market share to Louis Vuitton. The new creative director Sabato De Sarno wants to modernize the brand – with reduced silhouettes, more understatement and a clear break from the eclectic style of recent years. The first shows point to a return to craftsmanship and classic codes.

  • Clear creative vision at Gucci
  • Reduced product lines for more focus
  • Stronger differentiation from Dior & Vuitton

Balenciaga: Between comeback and reputation work

Following the scandal surrounding past advertising campaigns, Balenciaga is under particular scrutiny. Creative director Demna is trying to reposition the brand with calmer design and targeted image work. Kering itself has introduced an internal ethics board for this purpose – a first in the industry that is intended to win back trust in the long term.

Saint Laurent with stable performance

In contrast to Gucci and Balenciaga, Saint Laurent is considered a solid driving force with a strong sales performance. Creative director Anthony Vaccarello continues to focus on glamorous, clear cuts with rock elements – and, according to BoF, has recently achieved record sales.

  • Saint Laurent with constant growth
  • Fewer scandals, more brand loyalty
  • Strong presence in North America and Asia

Balenciaga x Pierpaolo Piccioli: New Creative Director

He succeeds Demna! The official handover is set to take place in July 2025 – with the first designs for the spring/summer 2026 collection. For Balenciaga, this means a radical new beginning with a focus on craftsmanship, emotion and couture heritage. Read more here:

What does the Kering conversion mean for the industry?

With its new focus, stronger governance and clear creative direction, Kering wants to catch up with the LVMH Group again. The competition remains fierce, but with discipline and a strategic realignment, Gucci, Balenciaga & Co. could climb back into the luxury top league. The fashion world is eagerly awaiting the next collections – and Duplaix’s next steps.

Between urban minimalism and global sportswear style, a strong new series has been created. A highlight – not only for Mathis, but also for all those who dream of modeling in Asia.

Next Stop: Seoul – Shooting for Adidas in South Korea

Mathis traveled directly to Seoul, South Korea’s vibrant capital, for this international job. The production took place in the studio – clean, white, reduced. The focus was entirely on the model, the outfit and the expression. The photos were taken for MUSINSA’s own e-commerce platform, which sells streetwear and high-end pieces throughout South Korea.

MUSINSA: Korea’s largest online fashion store

With a mix of global brands, Asian street style and its own photo editorial team, MUSINSA brings fashion of the highest quality to the web. Particularly popular: the clean Adidas campaigns with strong personalities like Mathis. It’s not just look and pose that count here – but also charisma, body tension and editorial feeling.

Mathis in front of the camera – cool, confident, clear

The focus of the new campaign: the classic Adidas Trefoil shirt, combined with urban shorts in a retro design. Mathis brings exactly the mix that Adidas wants: sporty, edgy, authentic. The images show power and coolness – with a twist of model attitude and clear lines. The look is typical of the South Korean streetwear market, which is setting more and more trends internationally.

Modeling in Korea – An exciting start

South Korea is an interesting market for young models. The productions are high quality, the clients are professional and life as a model in the country is surprisingly well organized. The important thing is that you need character, patience and an agency that prepares you. It wasn’t Mathis’ first trip to Asia – but it was definitely one of the most exciting.

  • Professional set structure & timing
  • Short shots – full concentration
  • Clear brand guidelines

Stay tuned

The campaign will soon be available online at MUSINSA – and will be used in South Korea for the new Adidas collection. We are proud of Mathis and are already looking forward to the next stops. As always, you can find more insights and behind-the-scenes at CM Models.

Milva x JOSH V: Fall campaign – elegance meets high fashion https://cmmodels.com/milva-x-josh-v-fall-campaign-elegance-meets-high-fashion/ Tue, 06 May 2025 13:01:29 +0000 https://cmmodels.de/milva-x-josh-v-fall-campaign-elegance-meets-high-fashion/ Model Milva shines again (and as always!) – this time for the Dutch fashion label JOSH V. For the current fall collection, she was the focus of an impressive campaign. Between opulent interiors, fine fabrics and a touch of vintage, she shows that age is not a break in style. Read on and discover why this shoot shows more than just fashion: it’s a statement of strength, self-confidence and beauty regardless of age.

Strong collection meets strong women

With the new “Heritage meets Modern Femininity” collection, JOSH V focuses on classic elements, luxurious fabrics and sophisticated details – perfectly staged by Milva. As an experienced model, she brings not only presence but also attitude to the visual language. The result: looks that reinterpret femininity and appeal to women at every stage of life.

A set straight out of a movie

The shooting setting is reminiscent of a movie set: Painted walls with patina, antique carpets and a velvet-covered vintage sofa form the backdrop for Milva’s powerful presence. Particularly in focus: an elegant blouse shirt with an XXL bow, combined with a sparkling skirt in a metallic look. The play of contrasts runs through the entire editorial.

Confident statements beyond the twenties

What makes this campaign special? The courage to be visible. More and more labels are focusing on diversity – not only in terms of size or origin, but also age. Milva shows how exciting and inspiring fashion can be when it meets real character. Its charisma is in no way inferior to the designs.

JOSH V: The label

For years, JOSH V has stood for clean lines, feminine elegance and wearable couture. The fact that the label is now working with Milva is a logical step: the message is clear – fashion is for everyone who wants to express themselves, regardless of age or size. This collaboration could be a new standard for more visibility for mature women in the fashion world.

Daniel Č. walks for TAAKK at the Paris Fashion Week A/W 25 https://cmmodels.com/daniel-c-walks-for-taakk-at-the-paris-fashion-week-a-w-25/ Mon, 28 Apr 2025 12:32:39 +0000 https://cmmodels.de/daniel-c-walks-for-taakk-at-the-paris-fashion-week-a-w-25/ Paris – Big moment for our New Face Daniel: he presented the new Autumn/Winter 2025 collection from Japanese label TAAKK at Paris Fashion Week. In the middle of the catwalk, surrounded by the press, fashion elite and international guests – an unforgettable appearance. It was Daniel’s first catwalk job in Paris – and it was an instant hit.

Daniel on the catwalk: TAAKK shows A/W 25 in Paris

Paris Fashion Week is considered the highlight of the international fashion scene. This is where the big names walk, where the future of fashion is decided. TAAKK – a label that stands for avant-garde fabric experiments and innovative cuts – showed a strong collection in dark, flowing textures. Daniel opened the look with presence, calm and a perfect catwalk move.

What makes TAAKK special

Founded by designer Takuya Morikawa, formerly with Issey Miyake, TAAKK combines Japanese tailoring with futuristic elements. Particularly characteristic: textile research, layering and experimental volumes. The A/W 25 show reflected exactly that – minimalist but expressive. Just the right vibe for Daniel, who set the line in motion.

  • Location: Paris Fashion Week A/W 25
  • Label: TAAKK (Japan)
  • Job: Runway / Catwalk

Runway debut in Paris – what a start

For many models, their first job at Paris Fashion Week is a career boost. The shows are top-class and the casting requirements are strict. Daniel impressed with his strong posture, striking charisma and natural elegance. In the cramped show location, he brought exactly the kind of coolness that designers want to see on Parisian runways.

Behind the scenes & tips for up-and-coming models

What you don’t see on the catwalk: the hours leading up to it. Fittings, rehearsals, casting waiting rooms and outfit checks. Daniel was perfectly prepared – thanks to good organization, calm focus and the support of our CM team. For young models: Paris is possible – if you are ready, take responsibility and find your style.

  • Fitting & catwalk training are mandatory
  • Professionalism and timing count
  • Your look is decisive – but your performance is convincing

More from Daniel comes

This appearance was just the beginning. Daniel has shown himself on one of Europe’s most important catwalks – and with style. We are looking forward to everything that is to come. More jobs, editorials and shows are already in the pipeline. Follow CM Models for more insights!
